Fashion Icon: Elizabeth Taylor takes her final bow at 79


Elizabeth Taylor graced the world with her presence at the tender age of nine in her first film "There's One Born Every Minute." From her first film her acting career immediately sprouted her second film " Lassie Come Home" earned her the attention that pushed her into stardom. The list of movies she continued to act in over the years maximized and helped create a healthy resume. Liz earned two Academy Awards and became the highest paid actress for the movie Cleopatra. Liz had become known to the world as a style icon. She also ventured into perfume with her signature scent White Diamonds which is one of the best selling scents grossing at 61.3 million dollars. But with all the great things that Liz accomplished in 2004, she was diagnosed with congestive heart failure. But she continued to fight and proceeded to do the things she loved travel and act occasionally. She also got heavily involved in AIDs charities and fundraisers. Which helped her create a foundation "The Elizabeth Taylor AIDs Foundation." She was a true renaissance woman in every way and she worked hard to get there. But on March 23, 2011 her health issues took a toll on her body and she passed away. Elizabeth Taylor is an iconic figure in fashion and in history . She will live forever through our memories.
