OPI Shatters the Competition

Move over Minx because OPI Shatter polish is the next hot thing. OPI Shatter hit the scene two months ago and it created a great buzz. I first seen the polish in a magazine ad and I immediately went on a hunt to find it....but no luck. Until I went to the nail salon and there it was and I couldn't resist. It came out great and it only cost me $15 as compared to Minx that can cost anywhere from $40-$60. The process was really simple: first you get a base color that color will go first, then the Shatter polish gets applied over the base coat, and once the shatter polish is applied it rapidly breaks up and the base color is seen.  I was so impressed with the outcome that I went today to get it done again ! Recommended to anyone who wants to spice up their nails

Marc Jacobs color pop earbuds are cute and very affordable. For a inexpensive price of $28 you can have them at your fingertips. They come in four different colors : hot pink ,baby blue, black, and yellow. They are the perfect size not all big and bulky like some of those other headphones. So why not be stylish while listening to the hottest songs. These will definitely be in my ears soon !

Feathers, Colors & Wedge Sneakers .....Oh MY ! D&G Fall 2011 line

D&G Fall Collection is absolutely whimsical. Its very young, hip, and playful. As the girls walked down the alphabet runway to Madonna's song Vogue there colorful ensemble fit perfectly with the theme. The girls wore feather balloon skirts, rainbow color tees, wedge sneakers, oversized blazers, and lettered leggings to name a few. This fresh line is something that is very relatable to the young generation. I can definitely see Leighton Messter, Nicki Minaj, and Rihanna in a few of these pieces. Cant wait to see how they rock them.

Trend Sighting.......Burberrys Trendy Trench

Just when you thought this staple piece couldn't be revamped Burberry created a WOW factor with their new "Biker-Sleeve Trench Coat". Its definitely a statement piece. Very edgy but still maintains a classy and polished look. I am totally obsessed with this trench coat because it can be dressed down with jeans or dressed up with a beautiful dress. Even though I've only spotted Lala Vasquez wearing it with her hubby Carmelo Anthony and Interior Designer Meg Sharpe in Elle magazine I know that this Trench will be a must have this season. Everyone is going to want to get there hands on it !

An Ode to the Past

I love the trends that are being set for this year..Its all about paying respects to the past. There will be a little bit of everything this season from high waisted wide leg jeans, platform heels, long pleated skirts, kimono shirts, leopard prints ,to printed pants. This year is about having that vintage look but still managing to look effortlessly chic doing it !

It was only a DREAM !

Wow! I cant believe I'm writing my first entry for my own blog....this all seems surreal ! Its seems like yesterday I was the little girl in DC with dreams of being apart of something great. Here I am making my way through what is called to some "the concrete jungle" and known to others as NYC. I came here with my goals set high and an unstoppable drive and because of that I recently graduated from college with a Fashion Marketing & Merchandising degree. With this degree I was able to style for my first fashion event which I learned so much from. I have so much hope for my future and what else is in store for me. My ultimate goal is to be one of the top stylist and to own boutiques, and Im not stopping until I get it. And to think that this was only just a dream ............
